Working in the wider hospitality and tourism sector; over 23 years of age with a minimum of two years industrial experience.
If English is not your first language
Applicants for this programme should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 5.5 in each component. |

Hide-Overview: This programme is suitable for people who want to gain a qualification or are currently working in the hospitality industry, are seeking promotion, or management positions in the sector. It is also open to mature students returning to education, people seeking a career change or wishing to ‘start their own business’ in the sector or people intending to develop their existing hospitality businesses. The programme would be ideal for those people who have worked in the sector and now find themselves unemployed.
This two-year part-time programme gives graduates an in-depth knowledge and insight into all aspects necessary to manage and run a successful business or to develop a career in the sector. Completion of the programme provides participants with a strong foundation in current management practices and trends. The programme will provide students with the knowledge, skills and competencies for operational, supervisory and management roles in the global hospitality sector.
The programme leads to a TU Dublin Level 6 Higher certificate award. Graduates receive one-year complimentary membership of the Irish Hospitality Institute. Membership includes:
