Hide-This unit enables the candidate to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully machine by Computer Numerical Control (CNC).
This programme is focused on programming 3-axis CNC milling and 2-axis lathe work. It includes part-programming, preparation of the machine, selection and the preparing of the required methods of work holding, the selection and the correct mounting of tooling. It also covers the operations required and safe working practices to complete the machining operations.

Transcript of the result achieved will be issued by City and Guilds (City & Guilds Award 2850-326).
