Entry Requirements Under 23 applicants must have ordinary level Grade 06 or better in five subjects. The subject list must include either English or Irish. Ordinary level Mathematics Grade 06 or better is also a requirement to apply for year one of this course. If a Mature student (over 23 years) you may be exempted from this requirement and are eligible to apply. All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English. NFQ Level 6 in Accounting or ATI is a requirement for advanced entry into Year 3.
Financial Support Social Welfare
If your sole income is derived from Social Welfare payments, or if you are the dependent of a person with such, you may be eligible for a reduction in the tuition fees payable to TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus for Professional Institute and undergraduate programmes.
Course Content Who is this course for?
If you are interested in a career in accounting, this ATI qualification will give you the opportunity to work in many types of accountancy jobs or act as a stepping stone to pursue further accountancy studies.

Course Summary
First Year gives you a foundation knowledge of business and accounting, while the Second Year allows you to build a deeper understanding of more advanced accounting issues.

In addition, many who qualify as Accounting Technicians go on to continue their studies, using the qualification as a stepping stone to eventually becoming professional accountants. You can also choose to progress directly to the Ordinary Degree in Business & Accounting at TU Dublin – Tallaght Campus.
