This course has been designed to allow students the opportunity to choose from a wide range of subjects. You will study alongside Masters (LLM) Students and may consider continuing to study the LLM, subject to meeting LLM entry requirements.
Law graduates, or those with a professional legal qualification, can now study LLM courses one at a time (as part of our Professional certificate or Professional Diploma in the case of more than one module), in a flexible manner.
You can:
Study individual graduate-level modules
Accumulate credits over a prolonged period of time leading to a certificate, diploma or master’s degree
Applications for admission to the Programme are invited from practising barristers or solicitors, graduates holding an approved university law degree or law-based inter disciplinary university degree or equivalent.
Applications will also be considered from the holders of academic and/or professional qualifications and/or proof of such experience as satisfy the School of Law that they are able to participate fully in the course and will be required to study the Introduction to Law module in advance of being admitted to the course.

We have an excellent Careers Development Centre here at UCD, designed to help you with information regarding future employment or studies. UCD hold a number of graduate events throughout the year including a dedicated law fair at which at which many of the big Law firms will be in attendance. The School of Law has a dedicated careers advisor on it’s Academic staff, and a staff member from the careers office will be in attendance at the School of law on a number of occasions throughout the academic year.
