These funds are administered on a strictly confidential basis by the Student Services Office. 1916 Bursary
The 1916 Bursary is funding to encourage participation and success by students from sections of society that are significantly underrepresented in higher education. Successful applicants will be awarded €5,000 for each year of their undergraduate programme up to a maximum of €20,000 for full-time students or a maximum of €30,000 for part-time students. The bursary is only open to first time entrants who are enrolling in year 1 or advanced entry year 2 of an approved undergraduate course. Hide-The aim of this programme is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and competence necessary for a career in a professional cookery environment. This will be achieved by providing learners with the essential practical skills and knowledge required of modern-day professionals working in kitchen environments. This one-year part-time programme combines college-based education in culinary operations with work-based learning in industry. The primary focus of the programme is to prepare graduates for a variety of roles in food preparation in food retail outlets including delicatessens, gastro pubs, catering outlets and restaurants.
