Course Content During the Covid restrictions many people discovered areas of Dublin which they may never have walked before, or have come upon streets or buildings which they would like to learn more about. This course uses a combination of talks and walks to help understand how Dublin grew from a simple river ford to the second city of a vast Empire. We will discuss the arrival of the Vikings, Dublin Castle, St Stephen’s Garden, Merrion Square and the Bridges of Dublin.
