Duration Part Time over 2 academic years (1 day per week over 4 semesters).

Class contact hours will normally be approximately 6 hours per week, but this will vary in some semesters – The class delivery day will normally be on a Friday.

Plus up to 2 hours per module for online tutorials.
Course Fee €3,500 per annum. Please note that an Instalment Fees Plan can be arranged.

Course Content Aims
This proposed programme aims to equip experienced social care workers with the knowledge, skills and insight required to be effective managers in social care settings. The intention is to offer the learner an opportunity to examine the practice of leadership and management in social care services, informed by an analysis of wider management theory, in order to develop appropriate management competencies.

Assessment Method The vast majority of the course is assessed through continual assessment for all elements of each module. However there are also final exams as well as continual assessment for the following modules.
