Minimum Entry Requirements?
Students must have a Level 8 Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Electronic Engineering with a minimum award level of 2.2 Honours or a Level 8 Degree with suitable post graduate experience.
Students of a related cognate discipline will be considered subject to an interview.

What is... Electronic System Design?
This MEng in Electronic Design Engineering is designed to meet the needs of both students and employers. High Tech Electronic Engineering companies (SYNOPSYS, XILINX, ACTEL, INTEL and others), were involved in the design and review of the contents of this Programme along with academics in IT Tallaght and other 3rd Level Colleges. The course is designed to provide the student with relevant advanced technology skills for a career in design engineering.

Subjects Taught |
Students take 7 technical modules to cover core electronic design engineering areas such as Digital System Design (four modules) · High Frequency & RF Design (one module and one elective) · Software Design (one module and one elective). There is also a Research and Innovation Methods module as well as a Project and Dissertation module. |

What are my career opportunities?
Graduates will have Design-Engineering skills and expertise applied on the latest tool sets that will be of particular value to the Semiconductor, Networking and Wireless Industries. It is likely that many of the course participants will already be employed in one of these sectors and this qualification will help move their career to the next level or to enable graduates to enter into these areas. |
