Hide-The MLitt is a two-year research programme, leading to the writing of a thesis of 40,000 to 50,000 words which will treat its subject in a systematic and independent way. While there are taught components to this degree, most of the work consists of independent research conducted under the guidance of a supervisor. We highly recommend that students consider the MMus (taught masters) before taking the MLitt. Please be in touch with us if you have any questions about the best degree path for you.
MLitt students may transfer to the PhD programme after completing one year of research, subject to the recommendation of the supervisor and the approval of the Head of School.
