Hide-The aim of the programme is to enhance the historical understanding and skills of graduates in history, to extend their capacity for historical research and thereby provide an appropriate basis for advanced research up to, and including, doctoral level. The programme combines extensive training in the use of sources, concepts and methodologies with specialist modules on Irish, European and International history from the early modern to the modern periods. In addition, a Public History Internship affords opportunities for career-advancing experience in museums, libraries and archives.

As part of the programme of study, students can engage in a public history internship module. Students can get hands-on experience of the cultural heritage sector and develop their professional network whilst completing their MA programme.
