Entry Requirements Admission Requirements:
• Participants must be 21 years or over (Proof of ID on enrolment)

• Experience of work and/or volunteering in the area is preferred.

• Openness to reflect on one’s own practice, attitudes and beliefs

• Commitment to learning in a group setting

Course Content Course Aim: The aim of this course is to provide participants with a broad overview of key theoretical frameworks in relation to substance misuse and dependence, and to enable them to develop basic helping and intervention skills. It is designed to provide participants with adequate knowledge and skills to respond positively to addiction related issues as they arise at work or in the community.
