The aim of this course is to develop an understanding and appreciation for the role of management within an organisation. Participants will examine the knowledge, skills and abilities required for effective management with a focus on the skillset needed to support plans and lead effective organisational change, closing the gap between intention and implementation.
Learning Outcomes
• Develop a systematic knowledge and understanding of the role of a leader in bringing about change and communicating workforce issues.
• Develop a critical awareness of leadership styles and roles needed to lead change. Develop a critical awareness of methods and tools for self-evaluation and PDP.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the transversal skills required to manage the resourcing challenges, by drawing on systems, tools and methods for improved communication and influence.
• Develop skills to be more proactive in managing one’s workforce, by developing skills to gather, interpret and analyse appropriate data relevant to the challenges of succession planning. Developing transversal and people management skills.
