Hide-This course will be attractive to you as a healthcare professional who can see the role that learning and teaching plays in everyday practice and wish to equip yourself with the skills to participate in learning and teaching with peers, colleagues, students, and service users.
The course is primarily facilitated through practice learning supported by university sessions.
You will be introduced to the principles that underpin learning and teaching and the rationale behind decisions made about specific teaching practices or delivery. Building on this knowledge, you will then explore a variety of techniques used in practice such as small group teaching, facilitation, patient education and skills teaching.
Having completed the PGCert students will have the opportunity to exit or proceed to a higher linked course to continue their studies.
