Hide-Applicants who have successfully completed the level 7 Certificate in Screen Production Department Skills will be offered first preference. Upon completion of both programmes they will have completed 60 credits and will be awarded a full level 7 degree in Screen Production Department Skills.
It is expected students will have completed a level 6 programme, however, recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPL) will be granted based on relevant experience and training in accordance with LIT's RPL policy. Applicants will be expected to have a proven track record with relevant experience in HR, Accounting, Administration experience or RPL.

Hide-The Certificate in Animation Production Department Skills offers individuals the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and competencies in the core production department skills required for employment in the animation production department. It aims to equip new entrants to the sector with the knowledge and essential skills required for working with animation pipelines & workflows, crew and cast contracts, copyright, GDPR, data management, essential production software, documentation and typical industry terminology.
The programme will also focus on the key cultural differences between working on a live action production and animation, self-management and wellbeing in a work environment and working with creative teams. Upon completion this programme will form the basis of the new entrant’s journey into working in an animation production department.
Time Commitment
Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.
