Times: Recorded Lecture available on Monday evenings. Live Tutorial on Wednesday from 7 to 8.30 pm
Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.

Applicants must satisfy a minimum Stage 1 entry requirement of Grade 06/H7 or higher at Ordinary Level in five Leaving Certificate Subjects. Two of these subjects must include Mathematics and a Language (Irish or English).
Prospective participants who do not meet the entry requirements for the programme detailed above, but who may qualify for admission by meeting certain other equivalent criteria, should apply to the Department of Flexible Learning Office for consideration.

Hide-The Certificate in Accounting Principles and Practice, provides a deeper knowledge of financial accounting covering international accounting standards, and is suitable for those working in SMEs and those wishing to broaden their knowledge of accounting. It is aimed at those who already have a knowledge of the basic fundamentals of accounting. Those who complete the Certificates in Accounting will get exemptions from professional accountancy bodies and may also apply to enter the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting under LIT’s transfer and progression policies.
