Entry Requirements |
Participants must be currently employed/defined as an employee, working as a team leader, or aspire to be promoted to/transferred into, a supervisory, team lead or middle management role. All applicants should have a minimum of Level 5 qualification or its equivalent prior to entry to the programme, or have achieved the relevant skills, knowledge and competences through work experience. |

The Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management is designed for new and aspiring department heads, regional team leaders and other middle managers. It enables learners to gain comprehensive business knowledge and develop the skills they need to lead at this level.
There are five learning outcomes associated with the successful completion of this programme. On completion of this programme, participants will be able to:
1. Explain the key elements that influence the management of remote workers, including the range of remote working practices, contractual and organisational policy considerations, legislative and regulatory requirements, and benefits and disadvantages.
2. Produce written documents for defined business purposes that satisfy organisational conventions, meet specified standards and incorporate material such as statistics or visuals.
3. Manage and implement change in the workplace, by identifying areas for change and developing a change implementation plan.
4. Understand the factors that may affect performance and motivation in the workplace and be able to improve levels of motivation and increase performance in the workplace
5. Develop and communicate implementation plans for solutions to complex workplace problems by identifying and analysing the problem and applying decision making techniques to determine the most appropriate solution.
