Course Content This course will bring the student on a whistle-stop tour of a thousand years of European music, beginning with the music of the early Medieval period and traveling through the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras. Students will develop their appreciation of this music through guided listening and discussion of its historical, political and social contexts. No previous musical training is necessary, just enthusiasm for the subject.
