The programme will run over 24 weeks and will be run via blended learning. Modules are consumed individually online at the students time, with four one day, mid-week seminars to be conducted over a ten month period. |

This programme was Springboard funded in 2021. Employed applicants received 90% funding and the subsidised 10% fee to be paid was €180. Unemployed applicants received 100% funding. |

ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a minimum score of 5.5 in an IELTS exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a minimum of 6.0 is required. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements.

Hide-The aim of this programme is to formalise and enrich participants workplace performance and enjoyment through the acquisition of new skills and the development of current knowledge and practices.
The programme is designed to achieve the following objectives:
To meet a current and growing skills gap in customs and international trade regulation among Irish exporting firms.
To deliver the programme in a flexible format suitable for those in employment.
To build expertise in Customs and International Trade in the Midwest Region to deal with the evolving international trade environment.
To develop an accredited (NFQ Level 7) programme for those working and seeking work in customs and international trade.
What will the time commitment be?
Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.

Assessment Method |
Continuous Assessment comprising of a mix of weekly tasks and periodical assignments. Assessment will be a range ‘of learning’ tasks (ie. Q&A, MCQ, short response) and for learning tasks (one-to-one feedback, checklists, group task) and as learning experiences (i.e. work based assignments, extended task). Assessment will be undertaken primarily online with some tasks undertaken on the seminar days. |
