These vary depending on the course and are detailed online.
- 2:1 honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for GBC membership of the British Psychological Society (OR a national or an international equivalent e.g. PSI).
OR
- An accredited MSc Psychology conversion course with a merit grade or above.
- Applicants will have to provide evidence of competence in written and spoken English (GCSE grades A-C or equivalent).
APPLICANTS WITHOUT A PSYCHOLOGY DEGREE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
If English is not your first language this course requires a minimum English level of IELTS (academic) 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5, or equivalent.

Hide-Health Psychology is developing rapidly in the UK and internationally in response to the increase in non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes and obesity. There is growing need for a psychological approach to managing lifestyle choices and healthcare delivery to address the impact on health.
Providing stage one of the professional training in Health Psychology, this course is for graduate students who wish to pursue professional careers in Psychology and its applications to health and illness.
Alongside building your knowledge and skills in Health Psychology, you will further develop independent learning, verbal and written communication skills, time management and research skills.
Many of our graduates pursue a career as a professional psychologist, and many will go on to complete stage two of the training required to become a registered health psychologist. Alternatively, you may opt for a range of careers in health and related disciplines and some may further their studies by completing a PhD.
