Hide-The MA in Global Irish Studies brings together a wide range of historical, literary, and musical disciplines to examine the interconnected notions of local and global Irishness. By exploring the global positioning of Irish identity and culture we aim to bring fresh perspectives to the understanding of Irish identities and cultures.
The aims of this interdisciplinary programme are to broaden students knowledge of Ireland and Irish from a transnational perspective; to foster student awareness of Irish local, national and transnational identities; to enable students to engage with current critical debates in the areas of Irish literature, history and culture.
