Q. Who attends Lifelong Learning courses in UCD?

Lifelong Learning is open to all and provides a chance to explore a subject without any examination. You do not need to have attended further or higher education to enjoy these classes.

Course Content Tutor: Donal Fallon.

The 1916-1923 period is largely viewed through the prism of military history, but what of the complex role of ordinary people in events? This class examines events such as Gaelic Sunday (a nationwide protest against restrictions on the GAA), the Limerick Soviet and the 1918 General Election to give a sense of how Irish people themselves experienced and shaped the revolution.
