Delivery will be online and will take place over 12 Weeks of online lectures, following which a final examination will take place on week 13.

Lectures are scheduled to take place on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

A NISO Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety will be issued to eligible participants
Course Content To provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to enable them to communicate safety and health information to peers and supervisors on a range of occupational safety and health issues in the workplace. It also gives the participants the necessary tools to help promote a culture of safety and health in the workplace.
Subjects Taught What modules will I study?
Irish Law, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Risk Management, Safety Management, Fire Safety Emergency Planning and First Aid, Ergonomics, Physical Hazards, Chemical Safety, Psychosocial Hazards, Occupational health, Construction Safety, Accident Causation and Investigation, Agriculture Safety.
Assessment Method Assessment
Learners wishing to receive the NISO certification must complete an assignment and sit a written exam at the end of the programme (week 13). Students who successfully complete the requirements of all modules and assessments will be awarded the NISO Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
