Holders of the Level 7 BSc in Health and Leisure or an approved equivalent qualification, should apply to IT Tralee. |
Mature Applicants |
The Institute welcomes applications from persons who will be 23 years of age and over on the 1st of January of the proposed year of entry and who wish to be admitted as a mature student. The Institute reserves a minimum of 5% of all places for mature applicants. |
Application Date |
In March of each year, MTU welcomes applications for add-on degree and honours degree programmes, with a commencement date of the following September.
The application process is open for one month, from early March to the first week in April each year (this date changes slightly due to the Easter holidays, but it is always within the first week in April). |

The Health & Wellbeing specialism graduates are equipped to work within a variety of settings, where physical activity, recreation and sport are used to enhance wellbeing: The Health & Wellbeing graduate will have completed modules which are especially relevant to employment settings demanding a central focus on health and health promotion for physical activity, recreation and sport. Graduates of this specialism are well positioned to play an important role in key development areas within the sector both nationally and internationally. The programme deals in a significant way with positive health, wellbeing and wellness theory. These themes are set to shape the future direction of the health and wellness sector.
