Entry Requirements Holders of the Level 7 BSc in Health and Leisure or an approved equivalent qualification, should apply to IT Tralee.
Mature Applicants The Institute welcomes applications from persons who will be 23 years of age and over on the 1st of January of the proposed year of entry and who wish to be admitted as a mature student. The Institute reserves a minimum of 5% of all places for mature applicants.
Application Date In March of each year, MTU welcomes applications for add-on degree and honours degree programmes, with a commencement date of the following September.

The application process is open for one month, from early March to the first week in April each year (this date changes slightly due to the Easter holidays, but it is always within the first week in April).

Graduates from this stream will be ideally equipped to work in a number of contexts and settings, where physical activity, recreation and sport are applied to enhance wellbeing. These include: The Health Promotion Officer role, Wellness oriented gyms, spas and studios, Positive Youth Development work, Therapeutic Recreation, Wellbeing Coaching.
