Hide-This is a one-year add-on course. The Level 8 programme provides students with a dedicated space and stimulating environment to enhance their fine art skills and develop a coherent body of work. Critical engagement is structured through regular tutorials and group critiques. An emphasis on individual research enables students to become independent learners and practitioners. Modules include Studio Practice, Professional Practice, History and Theory Self-directed Research, and Critical Writing. Learners are examined through a written thesis and through exhibition at the conclusion of the year.
Resources
Students have individual studio spaces and access to specialized and well equipped Printmaking, Ceramics, Photography and Digital Media workshops. All of our fine art lecturers are practicing artists bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to their teaching roles. External engagements include a visiting artist lecture series and national and international study trips.
