Induction for the 2022/2023 academic year takes place (online via Zoom) on Saturday 10th September from 930am to 1pm. In advance, you will be required to review Pre Induction reading material, available to you on www.aitflexiblelearning.ie.
During Induction, you will be given the opportunity to:
Meet your programme lecturers, programme co-ordinator and students
Overview of the programme handbook, programme’s modules, assessments and delivery timetable
Introduction to Athlone IT’s operating systems including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle etc
Outline of the learning supports available to you during the programme

Entry Requirements |
Mature applicants (i.e over 23 years) or Leaving Certificate – Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish) or any QQI Level 5 or Recognition of Prior Learning. |

Looking to learn more about the Biopharma and Med-Technology sectors?
The primary aim of this programme is to provide upskilling to those who wish to meet the current skills shortages in the area of Biopharma and Med Tech sectors. On successful completion individuals will be able to move up within their organisation and identify employment opportunities in the Biopharma and Med-Tech Sectors. |

Progression from the Certificate in Bio Pharma and MedTech programme is on to the level 6 Certificate in Manufacturing Technology programme, which is a one year programme. Entry criteria to this certificate is based on an interview covering individuals relevant work experience (typically in the Bio Pharma and MedTech field in excess of 5 years) and Recognition of Prior Learning, a curriculum vitae and completion of the Certificate in Bio Pharma and MedTech programme. |
