Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA)
The Leaving Certificate Applied is a two-year Leaving Certificate, available to students who wish to follow a practical or vocationally orientated programme. The Leaving Certificate Applied is made up of a range of courses that are structured round three elements: Vocational Preparation, Vocational Education and General Education.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP)
The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme is a Leaving Certificate with a focus on enterprise and preparation for working life.This two-year programme combines the academic strengths of the Leaving Certificate with a dynamic focus on self-directed learning, enterprise, work and the community.

Matriculation - NUI
All students wishing to enter a degree course in an NUI Constituent University or Recognised College must meet the Matriculation Requirements of the University.

Mature Students Ireland - MSI
Mature Students Ireland (MSI) is a network of Mature Student Officers and others with responsibility for mature students from all state funded Universities, Institutes of Technology and colleges of education within the higher education sector in Ireland.

Non Curricular EU Language subjects
The State Examinations Commission also provides examinations in a range of subjects in the language area referred to as the non-curricular EU languages. These are languages which do not appear as part of the normal school curriculum but which students may opt to be examined in if they meet certain criteria.
