Courses leading to NFQ awards
Awards recognised in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)
If your course (or programme) leads to a qualification or award, you should think carefully about how that award is recognised, both at home and abroad. Many qualifications are recognised through the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). These include Junior and Leaving Certificates, awards from QQI, as well as Dublin Institute of Technology and the universities. Over time, it is expected that the vast majority of qualifications will be recognised in this way.
Within Qualifax, you can tell if a course (programme) leads to a qualification (award) recognised through the NFQ if the information provided includes NFQ level.
