QQI FET Applicants General Information
Applicants with QQI/FETAC awards require distinctions in 3 (of 8) modules.
Applicants require at least a pass (O6/H7) in Maths in the Leaving Certificate or a pass in a mathematical methods module as part of the QQI/FETAC Award.

What will I be able to do when I graduate?
Creative Computing graduates are in high demand! 94% of graduates were in full time employment 4 months after graduation (2018 Graduate Survey).
Recent employers include SAP, Optum, Workday, Verizon Connect, Sonalake, Version 1, Google, Vodafone, IBM, Accenture, Microsoft and Eir. Graduates roles include: web designer, web developer, mobile app designer, mobile app developer, user experience designer, game developer, project manager, database administrator & systems administrator.
Pathways to further study exist within IADT (MSc UX Design, MSc Cyberpsychology, and Masters by Research) and externally.

Be sure to complete any action well in advance of closing dates. You should avoid making an application close to a closing date. No extensions to closing dates will be allowed and all application fees are non-refundable.
LATE APPLICATIONS
Late Applications are those which are received after 5pm on 1 February 2026. The closing date for late applications is 5pm on 1 May 2026, subject to the restrictions listed on page 3 of the 2026 CAO Handbook. The online facility for late applications opens on the 5 March 2026 at 12:00 noon - a fee of €65 applies.

Create exciting apps, websites and games & learn to program in Java and related languages
Use media elements (text, graphics, audio, images, video and animations) to develop websites with HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript

Choose a specialist area of study, such as Data Visualisation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, Data Science, and Virtual/Augmented Reality (Years 3 & 4)
Use state-of-the-art computer labs within a friendly and supportive environment
Opportunities to study abroad for a year through the Erasmus Programme. Partnerships with Stuttgart Media University in Germany and Sabanci University in Istanbul
In Year 3, students spend the second half of the year working with an industry partner
