Agriculture - Green Cert
his one year Level 6 QQI course in Agriculture provides a foundation in Agriculture Studies and provides the opportunity to progress to employment or further study in the Agricultural area. The course contains a mix of practical and theory elements with trips throughout the year. There is an opportunity to partake in Erasmus+ placements.

This is a one year, full time course running from September to May.
Entry Requirements
QQI Level 5 in Agriculture, Horticulture, or equivalent. Exemptions may be granted to mature applicants. Entry is subject to interview.
For mature students these requirements need not apply and applications will be considered based on a proven interest in organic farming.

Career Options
The course is suitable for people seeking employment on farms or working on their own farms. Graduates of the course are eligible to:
- Transfer to linked courses at Institutes of Technology through the Higher Education Links Scheme
- Farm Manager in the Beef/ Sheep Sector
- Gain employment on a farm either in Ireland or Aboard
- Run and manage their own farm enterprise at home
