The BA (Honours) in Human Resource Management is a one year Level 8 add-on programme. This Level 8 Honours Degree will allow graduates to apply for Level 9 Masters programmes and will aid them as their career progresses to strategic roles in organisations.

Duration
1 year part-time.
Course Delivery
Semester 1 & 2 – Tuesdays & Thursdays 6pm – 10pm.
Please note that students are required to attend lectures and workshops on some Saturdays during the Semester. Dates will be advised in advance.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management (Level 7) at grade H2.2 or higher. Graduates of cognate programmes who have achieved 180 credits may also be eligible. For those who do not meet this requirement, application to the Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management is recommended. (Recognition of Prior Learning can be explored for prior studies or work experience)
The programme is offered on a modular basis and requires learners to attain 60 credits.
What is RPL?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is when formal recognition is given for what you already know prior to starting on a programme or module. With recognition of prior learning the focus is on learning and not on experience as such. You can apply for RPL in any MTU accredited programme or module. Programmes which are accredited by professional bodies or any external awarding bodies may have their own procedures for RPL which you should refer to.

SUSI Grant
This course is eligible for funding under the SUSI grant scheme.
Students must be completing a minimum of 30 credits per annum but not more than 50 credits to be eligible for funding.

The programme is designed to expose students to topical issues in the Human Resource Management discipline. This degree has been designed in consultation with industry to respond to changes that have taken place in the HR area. This consultation has informed the suite of modules and their content.
