Pre-University Law
This one-year course prepares students for entry into Law and Arts programmes in Irish universities, as well as for work in legal environments in Ireland and abroad. It provides a strong foundation for those committed to studying Law, with many graduates progressing to qualify as solicitors through further study.

Progression Opportunities
There are numerous places available on Law and Legal Studies degrees across Irish universities, including TCD, UCC, DCU, TU Dublin, Maynooth University, SETU, NUIG, DBS, Shannon College, and ATU Letterkenny. Maynooth University offers over 175 First Arts places, with 30 in UCD, and many more in DCU, UCC, and Mater Dei for QQI Legal Studies graduates. Additional opportunities exist in law-related fields across third-level colleges, as well as in European administration, public service, heritage, insurance, banking, and international trade.

There are now over 175 places in First Arts in Maynooth University, 30 places in UCD as well as numerous places in DCU and UCC for eligible students who hold a QQI qualification in Legal Studies.
