The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the skills and understanding to install, configure and maintain computer systems. Learners will also learn about network and cloud systems.

Relevant work experience or training will be considered.
This course is suitable for mature students
An interview will be required for all candidates. The programme seeks motivated tech enthusiasts with an aptitude and positive attitude to work in the ICT sector.
Some candidates may qualify for grants such as BTEI, VTOS or SUSI.
All our classes are delivered in English. If English is not your first language you may be able to avail of supports in advance of starting a full-time course. We work in partnership with our colleagues in Adult Education Service who run an ESOL and preparation for college course(s) which you may be able to attend in advance of your full-time studies. All full-time day courses are €50. This is a non-refundable registration charge.

Learners will be suitable for employment in a range of sectors. Students who successful achieve the QQI level 5 major award can progress to the QQI Level 6 IT Systems course and to degrees in Computer Science and Network Engineering. Please note that modules listed are subject to change.
