Duration
Course Delivery:
This programme will be delivered in a blended format part-time from September 2026 to May 2027. The majority of content will be delivered online, however, students will be required to attend a number of workshops on-campus over the duration of the programme.
Entry Requirements
Must hold a level 7 or equivalent qualification, BEng or BSc in mechanical, electronic or manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.
Equivalent qualification must be relevant to the manufacturing or technological engineering sector.
Qualifications relating to the Civil & Construction engineering are not considered relevant to this programme.
All programmes are delivered through English, therefore, a good knowledge of the language is essential. For all applicants applying for this programme who do NOT have English as their first language or who have NOT completed a major academic award equivalent to a minimum of level 4 on the Irish NFQ, that is delivered and assessed through the medium of English, are required to review the minimum criteria @ https://mtu.ie/international/non-eu/kerry-campus/

Careers / Further progression
Progression
Graduates of this programme can progress to the Certificate in Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things, which can be stacked to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Integrated Manufacturing Engineering. This pathway enables further specialisation in cutting-edge smart manufacturing technologies, enhancing career opportunities in advanced engineering roles.
