Entry Requirements
Education: NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme. CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English Mature learner entry requirements available via the local ETB pathway Additional requirements may apply to non-EU/EEA Applicants and may be subject to full international fees (Please refer to Information for International Learners) *Each provider may have additional requirements, not outlined above.
Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
Applicants whose first language is not English, require a minimum English language and literacy competency of B2 in reading, writing, listening and speaking on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) and may be required to complete an English language test.
Please note if your Nationality is from outside the European Union (EU), you will be required to provide proof of a Valid Stamp 4 with Valid GNIB Number or if you are currently in Direct Provision you will be required to provide a copy of your Temporary Resident Card along with a Labour Market Permission Letter as issued by the Department of Immigration/Foreign Affairs.

Failure to do so will result in your place offer being withdrawn.
Careers / Further progression
The successful completion of the QQI Level 5 award in Office Administration will enable applicants to work independently and under supervision providing administration services and support in a range of office administration contexts in a modern office environment.

Those in receipt of a Social Welfare Payment may be eligible to receive a Training Allowance subject to criteria.
N.B. Students under the age of 26 in receipt of JSA/JSB may be eligible for a top-up payment whilst participating on this course. Applicants not eligible for the training allowance may receive support with travel/subsistence costs.

This course includes 10 weeks work placement which is a critical componet of the course, providing students with the opportunity to apply their skills in a real woring environment with a view to obtaining work in the sector.
On successful completion of the programme, students may progress to further education and training or to employment in a variety of administration settings.
On completion of this programme students will have the knowledge, skills and competencies to work independently and under supervision providing administration services and support in a range of office administration contexts. Learners also have the option to progress to higher education and training.
