The Apprenticeship combines classroom, online, and on-the job learning.
Entry Requirements
- Must be employed by a SOLAS ‘Approved Employer’ and registered as an apprentice
- Must have Grade O6/H7 or above in 5 Leaving Certificate subjects (including Maths F2/06/H7 and English 06/H7) or a full QQI Level 5 or higher qualification
- International applicants must present the equivalent of a full Level 5 qualification or higher
- Learners for whom English is not a first language must demonstrate proficiency in English. Applicants must achieve a minimum of a grade B2 CEFR or recognised equivalent
- Non-EU applicants are subject to work permit regulations
- Non-Standard Applicants aged 21 years and over without a Level 5 qualification will also be considered for access via Recognition of Prior Learning following an interview with the National Programme Manager and submission of relevant documentation
Careers / Further progression
On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified digital marketing specialist, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Digital Marketing.
You may then choose to work as a digital marketing specialist in a broad range of industries from communications, ecommerce & retail, fintech, media & entertainment, gaming, pharmaceutical and more. You may also use the qualification to progress within the sector and/or to higher education programmes.

During these sessions we provide an overview of the programme content, employer grant, benefits, logistics in terms of classes, eligibility criteria, key requirements for the employer/apprentice, and the registration process.
The sessions are held on MS Teams on Wednesdays (10am-11am) and are suitable for prospective employers and candidates.

The Digital Marketing Apprenticeship is a 2-year Level 6 programme targeting existing employees and new hires who want to gain an understanding of best practices and emerging technologies in digital marketing. The Apprenticeship combines classroom, online, and on-the job learning. It focuses on providing hands-on experience to develop the practical digital skills required by industry. Apprentices engage in real-world projects and campaigns, applying theoretical knowledge to solve practical challenges.
It is open to a wide range of employers, across all industry sectors, both large and small firms, on a national basis.
