Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate
A minimum of 5 O6/H7 grades in Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish.
QQI FET/FETAC

International Applicants
International applicants should apply directly to the International Office at TUS, allowing plenty of time for completing the visa process. Applications for September start should be made by 1st June at the latest to ensure visas are processed in time. You should familiarise yourself with visa processing times for your country of origin to ensure you make a timely application.

Career Opportunities
Graduates who go on to find employment often find themselves working with the National Governing Bodies, Local Sports Partnerships, community and voluntary organisations, commercial gyms and leisure centres, TV and media companies, event management companies, professional clubs, and sports agencies. The skills and knowledge gained will also be highly applicable to companies outside of the sports sector.
Further Study
Many graduates of this programme continue on to complete a one year add-on Level 7 (Honours Degree) in Business Studies with Sports Management.

Develop your network of contacts through our professional links with various Sports Partnerships, the GAA, Camogie Association, FAI, Treaty United, Munster Rugby, Thomond Park Stadium and Sport Ireland. Take the opportunity to travel during your placement while working or studying in Ireland or overseas. Play sport and make new friends. This course has been designed for people with a passion for sport who would like to work in an exciting, dynamic and global industry. Learn about working with athletes and training for performance and health. Develop your leadership skills and gain an understanding of governance and sports development, marketing, sponsorship, finance, law, running events, economics, public relations and human resource management. The course will suit anyone with a passionate interest in sport and a flair for business and management. You don’t need to be an elite athlete; you just need a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard and the determination to succeed.
