Prospective students will provide a portfolio of evidence to include;
• Diploma in General Nursing
• Current, Valid and Recognised Nursing registration
• Original nursing academic documentation and experiential records
• IELTS Academic Score 6.0 (See IELTS Academic Test) or DuoLingo English Test min score of 105-115)
• Completed application form
• Curriculum Vitae
• Statement of Purpose
• Medical insurance will be required of each successful applicant.

Careers
Since 2012, graduates of the International Nursing Top-Up Programme have secured employment, within the Irish Health Care Sector and globally.
Graduates have studied here at ATU St Angelas, by enrolling in our Masters in Health Care Management (International).
Progression
Following successful completion of the programme students can engage in continuing their lifelong learning. Other Postgraduate opportunities are wide and varied such as Masters in Public Health and Masters in Nursing Studies etc.
There are Numerous Progression routes including the Masters of Health Science in International Healthcare Management available to students taking the Bachelor of Science in International Nursing. Details of Progression options are available from the following Interim List of Eligible Programmes for Students studying fulltime in Ireland and who hold a Stamp 2 visa.

Course Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing and Midwifery International is an exciting, innovative one-year full time academic programme aimed at overseas registered nurses who have attained a Diploma in Nursing and would like to advance to Degree level or would like to undertake a European University Level 8 Top-Up degree for Continuing Professional Development purposes.
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing and Midwifery International will provide a pathway for internationally educated nurses to complete a NFQ Level 8 (Honours) Degree in Ireland commensurate with Level 6 on the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong learning.
Furthermore, this one-year academic degree is designed to ensure that students attain the academic credit to provide opportunity to work in a variety of health, social care and clinical settings globally.
The programme will be delivered in a unique environment at Atlantic Technological University, St Angelas, a campus of the Atlantic Technological University.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing and Midwifery International does not lead to Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

To register with NMBI, candidates must meet the required theoretical and clinical hours in line with the European Union Council Directive 2013/55/EU as follows:
The theoretical and clinical instruction shall comprise no less than 4,600 hours.
• Theoretical instruction – no less than a third of 4,600 hours = 1,533
• Clinical instruction – no less than one half of 4,600 hours = 2,300
