Entry Requirements

Available to Adults 18+

CERFL proficiency at B2 is required for access to this course for those whose first language is not English.

Education: Applicants should have a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme. Applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education although no formal qualifications are required.

Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.

Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work under direction with some ability to work on their own initiative.

Applicants in receipt of a DEASP payment may be exempt from fee's under the Fee Waiver Scheme.

Skills to Advance Funding may be available for persons employed that wish to undertake this course to upskill, eligibility to be determined.

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skill and competence in a broad range of employment and personal skills which enable employment, under direct supervision, in a variety of sectors, or progression to further education
or training.
