Sustainable energy is energy that meets the needs of the present generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. It is about focusing on and utilising sources of clean, renewable energy - sources that renew themselves, rather than that those can be depleted over time and cause harm to the planet in the process.

With a greater focus than ever on energy sustainability across public and private sectors, we have designed a programme that enables participants to engage in effective and results-driven energy management and conservation within their organisations.

Efficient energy sustainability in business, and across sectors, is proven to enhance overall performance in relation to energy expenditure but also from a cultural and reputational perspective.

Key to success for Ireland is the need to focus on three specific areas: (i) how we move about; (ii) how we heat our homes and (iii) how we farm and use our land. These three areas account for 80% of greenhouse gas emissions but, more importantly, action in these areas can deliver overlapping benefits such as jobs, wellbeing benefits and new industries. RTE journalist, Paul Deane, January 2021

If your business needs to review its energy sustainability with the aim of being kinder to the planet while implementing organisational change that will enhance your bottom line in the long run, this is this course for you. It will provide the basis of knowledge and skills to get you started on the route to a more sustainable future.
