Entry Requirements
It is desirable that applicants have participated in primary and post primary education.
Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject, and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course. The learner will have the capacity to take responsibility for his/her own learning.
Applicants must complete an informal interview to determine suitability for the course.

What are the progression opportunities
Learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to pursue employment in a variety of tourism and hospitality roles such as travel consultant, office administrator, event production, customer service, sales representative, marketing assistant and ecotourism related organisations.
Graduates can go onto further education such as the Level 6 Certificate in Tourism with Business.
There is also the option to progress to further education or training in such areas as international hospitality and tourism management, tourism marketing, event management, environmental sciences, cultural enterprises.
