Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)

QQI Level 5 – Full award with a minimum of eight modules

Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to progress to the higher certificate in business (Year 2) (Level 6 – One Year)

This programme provides learners with the core knowledge, skills and competencies required to work effectively in Human Resources (HR) roles across a variety of sectors.

It is suitable for those already employed in HR, administration, or management functions, as well as for individuals looking to enter or transition into the HR profession. The content is applicable across small, medium, and large organisations and is designed to reflect current HR practices and employment legislation.

Developed in close collaboration with industry partners, the programme addresses contemporary developments in HR, including changes in employment law, digital transformation, and the evolving role of HR in driving organisational success.

Learners will explore key areas such as employee relations, recruitment and selection, performance management, and HR compliance, gaining practical and theoretical insight into the impact of HR on overall business effectiveness.
