Entry Requirements
It is desirable that applicants have participated in primary and post primary education.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate skills relevant to a Level 6 course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
Applicants must complete an informal interview to determine suitability for the course.

What are the progression opportunities
On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge, and competencies in a range of outdoor sport and recreation activities, to work independently and or in an instructional, coaching, supervisory, and/or management role in a range of operations and activities in the sports, recreation, and exercise sections.
Spaces have been reserved on the second year of the BA in Outdoor Education at ATU Castlebar for graduates.

Course is free but there may be some minor costs for occasional expenses like fieldtrips, personal equipment, registration for external awards and other related items.
