Entry Requirements
It is desirable that applicants have participated in primary and post primary education.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate skills relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
Applicants must complete an informal interview to determine suitability for the course.

What are the progression opportunities
On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies in a range of outdoor sport and recreation activities, to work under supervision in a variety of outdoor recreation contexts.
There is the option to progress to the College’s Advanced Sports & Leisure management with Outdoor Activities Level 6 course.
Spaces have also been reserved on the first year of the BA in Outdoor Education at ATU Castlebar for level 5 graduates.

Course is free but there may be some minor costs for occasional expenses like fieldtrips, personal equipment, registration for external awards and other related items.
