The course will develop the artistic and technical skills that are involved in creating characters, stories and worlds using advanced digital technologies. Students will learn the fundamentals of digital design, storytelling, animation principles as well as how to build, light and compose animation sequences and stories.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an interest in Animation. It is targeted at students with a specific interest in this sector who are willing to get involved and participate during the college year.

Since places on the course are limited, applicants will be interviewed.

Course commences September 2024

In response to the cost-of-living crisis, we are implementing a significant reduction in fees for all domestic (EU, EEA, Stamp 4) students undertaking a PLC course in the upcoming academic year. All charges, excluding a nominal, non-refundable, registration charge of €50, will be waived.

Maintenance Grants
Students attending the College may be entitled to maintenance grants. Conditions for eligibility are the same as those for university or Institute of Technology students. Contact the college for more information, or full information and application details may be obtained from www.susi.ie.
