Augmented & Virtual Reality
This one-year course introduces students to the rapidly growing fields of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality. You’ll gain the skills to design, develop, and evaluate immersive digital experiences. AR and VR are expanding quickly across the software and IT industries in Ireland. Once focused mainly on gaming and entertainment, VR is now widely used in areas like surgery, flight simulation, training, and virtual social platforms.

This course equips graduates with the skills to design, build, and evaluate immersive experiences using virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies.
Students gain core competencies in computing, design, and animation, preparing them for careers in immersive media across various industries. Graduates can also progress to Level 7 and 8 degree programmes at universities and technological universities such as TUD, Trinity, DCU, UCC, DKIT, MTU, ATU, and TUS.
