Sports Management & Business
This one-year course prepares students for careers in the sports, recreation, and leisure industries. It develops key skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork, which are also transferable to business and community roles.
Students gain hands-on experience and can progress to further study in Ireland or abroad. By taking science modules, graduates may also earn a science award and apply for Health Science in DCU. Ideal for school leavers and mature students alike.

Career Opportunities
Graduates can progress to the Sports Management and Coaching degree at TU Dublin Blanchardstown, or to honours sports programmes at TU Dublin Grangegorman, DKIT, UCC, SETU Carlow and Waterford, MTU (Tralee and Cork), ATU Letterkenny, and more. Scholarship opportunities may also be available in Ireland and the US.
Students can pursue P.E. Teaching through an undergraduate degree at MTU and a Master’s in PE at University of Limerick. Sports graduates can also apply to First Arts in Maynooth University, with 175 QQI-reserved places.
Career paths include roles as sports development officers, or work in gyms, leisure centres, and sports clubs. Graduates may also progress to a QQI Level 6 course in Sports or Leisure Management.
