Entry Requirements
Entry requirements
Entry to the course is by audition /workshop and interview. A minimum of one year previous training in performance is required with experience and qualifications equivalent to the Performance – Drama Foundation Programme.
Audition requirements:
All prospective students Auditioning for the Performance Course are required to prepare either
• one Classical (Shakespeare) Monologue or
• one Modern Monologue from a recognised Playwright.
A Dance Routine will be taught on the day.
A Verse from a song will be taught on the day.
All of the above will be followed by an interview.
General College Entry Requirements
• You should be at least 17 years of age.
• One references must be uploaded to your online application page.
• Leaving Certificate standard is required; or Pass Level (120 credits) in the Leaving Certificate Applied. Individual courses may have specific additional requirements. These will be outlined in the course descriptions for each course.
• Relevant work experience or training will be considered.

All full-time day courses are €50. This is a non-refundable registration charge.
Students undertaking any full time Further Education course may apply for a means tested maintenance grant. Application forms are available from www.susi.ie. Students from designated disadvantaged partnership areas may be eligible for financial assistance towards course charges.
If you are receiving a Social Welfare payment, it may be possible to return to full-time education without loss of income.

Participants work as a performing company and are in production throughout the academic year in a professional theatre.
Features of the course
• Auditions for two dramatic college productions and one full scale college musical theatre production in a professional theatre venue
• Performance students studying at all levels in the College audition to participate in the staged musical, as performers or technicians
• This course is designed for committed students who wish to train and practice their craft in a fully professional environment
• The Diploma (optional and subject to course progress and attendance) is an internationally recognised professional Performance award granted by Trinity College London. This award facilitates a progression to the Level 7 Licentiate Diploma in either/both Performance and the Drama Teaching Diploma
