Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent standard of education.

Exemptions may be granted to mature students.

Careers / Further progression

Career & Employment Opportunities
Students may also gain employment in industry as Commis Chefs & obtain placement on the National Apprenticeship Programme in Professional Cookery. This would be a natural progression for students who complete this course in City of Dublin FET Crumlin.

Progression
Successful students may choose to go on to full-time QQI - Level 6 courses at TU Dublin.

Further information

Students are considered to be mature if they are 21 years of age or over. They must be 21 on or before 1 September in the year of entry.

PLC Grants/ SUSI Grants
The Department of Education and Skills (DES) provides a means-tested maintenance grant scheme for those attending full-time further education.

All applications for grants are made on-line through SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland). Refer to www.susi.ie

Places will be offered upon successful completion of interview.
