Students can pursue careers as Dog Groomers, Animal Care Assistants and with additional training Veterinary Assistant.

Closing date for first round of applications is Friday May 2nd 2025 at 2:00pm.
Pre Guidance Meetings where applicable will take place from May 19th 2025.
Offers of places will issue following completion of first round pre-guidance meetings
Second Round applications open June 3rd 2025.
Pre-entry guidance meetings will take place from August 25th subject to availability of places.
Application system closes on September 30th for 2025 full-time entry.
€175 Registration Fee applies to all students

Refund Policy
Students enrolled following first round offers will, on written request to info.gti@gretb.ie be refunded fon cancellation of place by August 31st.

This one year Animal Care: Introduction to Dog Grooming course will facilitate those who wish to pursue a career in the Dog Grooming/Animal Husbandry Industry. The emphasis of this course will be on developing the skills and practices required to work in a modern dog grooming studio. This course will also enable participants to acquire the skills, knowledge and competence to provide for the needs of animals in a range of animal care settings, or to progress to further or higher education or training. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.
