Creative Industries - Film - Photography & Events - Film & TV Production
If you have a creative flair and a desire to use it in the creative industries then this is the course for you. You will be introduced to a range of skills such as, how to shoot short films using a HD video camera and edit them using Adobe Premiere Pro, how to take great digital photographs using a DSLR camera with a range of lenses and how to enhance them in Adobe Photoshop.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate, LCA or QQI Level 4.
Mature students are exempt from Leaving Certificate requirement.
CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English.
An offer of a place on this course is contingent on the applicant meeting the requirements set out here and satisfactory presentation at interview.

Education Progression Opportunities
This full level 5 Award facilities entry to the Multimedia and Film & TV Production Level 6 courses in Kinsale. It also facilities entry on a competitive basis to a range of third level colleges, for example: DIT Film & Broadcasting, LIT Higher Cert in Video & Sound Technology and IADT Film & TV production.

CERTIFICATION:
QQI Level 5 Certificate in Film & TV Production (5M18519).
Produce graphics such as posters, fliers etc. Learn how to organise events such as an exhibition to promote your work. Use the campus green screen/photography studio with a range of lights. All equipment is provided. No previous knowledge of the subject or the equipment is needed.
FACILITIES IN THIS DEPARTMENT
This department contains the most up to date hardware and software. Facilities include an Apple iMac lab, a range of HD digital video cameras and DSLR cameras. Sound recording equipment includes Rode microphones, H1 and H4 Zoom microphones. LED electric studio lights, and battery operated lights. Students have access to the following applications (for free), for the full academic year; Adobe Creative Cloud, Office 365 (including Moodle), and Final Draft (industry standard scriptwriting software).
